Hello! I'm John Cunningham. I am the founder and owner of Zuwalla School of Music. Thank you for taking the time to check out what we've got going on here at Zuwalla.
I've been playing music for 27 years, playing professionally for 18 years and teaching music for 14 years. I studied music at the Atlanta Institute of Music and completed the program in December of 2009.
Music is a lot more than just a profession for me, it's a way of life. Although I started my musical adventure with a passion for playing music, teaching has also become an important way for me to share music with others and give back to a community that has done so much for me in my life.
My Story
Although I've always been grateful to have a teaching position at a music store, I've always had a vision for how I would like to see lessons be taught. So that is why I've started the Zuwalla School of Music.

At Zuwalla you are more than just students, you're family. I truly believe in the power of music to make a positive impact in a persons life. I believe in it because how it's changed my life for the better. There are so many life lessons I've learned from music that I'm able to apply to all aspects of my life. Things like patients, humility, courage, faith, and discipline. Music has taught me to be a better communicator and a better listener. Music has taught me to be present and in the moment. Music has also been an important resource for processing difficult emotions and life experiences.
It's very rewarding to me to be able to share the gift of music with someone. Teaching has become a calling in my life and it's what I want to do for as long as I can. So join me and start your own musical adventure today at Zuwalla School of Music.
