About Me

John Cunningham has been playing music for over 30 years, performing live professionally for 21+ years, and teaching for 17 years. He graduated from the Atlanta Institute of Music in 2009. He teaches guitar, drums, bass, keyboard, piano, voice, and more; all instruments he performs professionally himself. John offers private music lessons for kids, teens, and adults throughout Canton, Woodstock, Cherokee County, and the surrounding North Georgia area.

 

John’s teaching approach is fun, encouraging, and completely nonjudgmental. He believes music is vulnerable and creativity requires a safe space, especially for beginners who may feel nervous or unsure. His goal is to make every student feel comfortable, supported, and confident while learning at their own pace.

 

Lessons are personalized around each student’s interests and goals, whether they want to learn for fun, build confidence, perform live, write music, or grow as a musician.
